Integrated Tyco Fire & Security, a company specializing in security solutions and fire protection, richmond technical center has been recognized by Retail TouchPoints for his work with Saks Fifth Avenue, a chain of luxury department stores in the United States. Saks Fifth Avenue was awarded in the category of Inventory Management and Merchandising for the pioneer implementation of RFID technology designed to improve inventory visibility and marketing in the shoe department. Partnering with Tyco Retail Solutions, Saks has been able to optimize the customer experience, ensuring that all the models and colors of shoes are on display and available for purchase.
The eighth richmond technical center floor of the flagship store of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York has nearly 1,400 square feet and only female shoe section, home to more than 3,000 pairs of high-end shoes. With over 4,000 pairs of shoes exhibited throughout the store and at least 5,000 new pairs every week, Saks wanted to ensure that every shoe you were exposed in the sales area at all times. However, the procedures implemented consumed too much of their employees and not only complicated the customer service, but also made it difficult to meet inventory targets. Led by Tyco Retail richmond technical center Solutions in late 2012, Saks decided to adopt an innovative solution based on RFID technology to meet their needs for inventory management and sales. The solution is based on the software platform for Retail Tyco TrueVUE. After a few months, Saks has been able to drastically reduce the number of shoes and now missing richmond technical center exposure can expose a wider variety of shoes available at the point of sale.
